Eugene Wynyard is the founder and author of Memories After™, an evolving remembrance platform built around one of humanity’s oldest and most enduring instincts: when someone matters to us, we find ways to remember them.

His work began more than a decade ago with a question that confronted him personally and ultimately changed the direction of his life. What followed was years of writing, listening, researching and exploring the complicated ways people experience grief, memory, love and loss — including experiences that are often difficult to speak about at all.

That journey eventually became Memories After™.

Today, Eugene is the author of six dedicated Memories After Healing Guides spanning death, suicide, miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion and vanishing twin loss. Each was written to enter its subject on its own terms, recognising that no two forms of loss — and no two people experiencing them — are exactly alike.

But the books were never intended to be the end of the story.

Eugene’s wider vision is to create a place where remembrance can continue beyond the page: where people can tell their stories in their own words, preserve photographs and memories, honour those who mattered to them, and create lasting memorials that can remain part of their lives for years to come.

At the centre of the next evolution of Memories After is Elari™ — a conversational remembrance intelligence being designed to help people explore and express memories naturally through conversation.

 

Rather than reducing a human life or loss to a series of forms and fields, Elari is envisioned as a compassionate guide through remembrance — helping people uncover what matters, find the words when they are difficult to find, and, with their permission, progressively shape those memories into something lasting.

Eugene’s vision extends beyond any single memorial.

Throughout a lifetime, we may lose parents, grandparents, partners, pregnancies, friends, children, colleagues, beloved animals and people whose lives touched ours from afar. Memories After is being created as a place people can return to whenever remembrance becomes part of their story.
