About the Author
Since 1995, I’ve walked alongside men and women seeking healing after abortion—a journey I know personally. Too often, the stigma around abortion shames and silences those who grieve, robbing them of the chance to honour their loss or find peace. Through a unique conversational approach and an online memorial wall, I’ve seen the profound power of giving parents a safe space to remember their unborn child and themselves with dignity.
This work showed me a deeper truth: abortion’s impact reaches beyond individuals to families, mates, and communities, often tied to struggles like depression, anxiety, anti-social behaviours, addictions, and even suicidal thoughts.
Over time, my mission grew to embrace all kinds of loss. That’s why I founded Memories After, a sanctuary for anyone grieving the loss of a pregnancy, a loved one, or a cherished pet. Memories After offers seven free guides to help navigate the depths of grief, seven free memorials to honour those who’ve passed, and compassionate care services to support healing with love and respect. It’s a place where loss is acknowledged, love is celebrated, and legacies live on.
At the heart of my work are these beliefs:
-
Grief deserves to be seen and named.
-
Every life, no matter how brief, is worthy of remembrance.
-
Healing begins when we honour both the love and the loss.
Through the generosity of donations, partnerships, and sponsorships, Memories After offers its guides, memorials, and support services free of charge—always. This is a place where no one faces grief alone, where every story is honoured, and every loss is held with care.
Grief may change us, but remembrance can heal us. Love does not end; it only asks to be carried forward. Bring your voice, your skills, your heart. Let’s build something lasting — a place where every life is remembered with dignity and love.
Join us at Memories After to find solace, create a lasting tribute, and embrace the healing power of love and legacy. Your journey matters—step into our community today.
